Yeah,the big guy must have bought one of those .22 ARs but other than that he gave them all an effective earful.

What was he off about? I believe that the .223 is a .22, the same as a .308, 30-30, 30-06, .338 are all 30's, am I wrong?

They are still not the exact same bullet,otherwise the magazines would be interchangeable. I think he could have gone another route in his defense of the AR but did well overall in his speech.

We all know that and I'd bet that he does too but technically he was correct, he didn't call it a .22 short or long and he was speaking to a bunch of unknowledgeable loony lefties who don't know the difference. There is a phrase for that but I can't think of what it is right now.
