Default Range Orientation and Volunteer Day tomorrow

The next range tour and safety briefing is this Saturday the 31st at 10:00am for anyone interested in joining the range or just wants to check out the place. This is the last day of the Spring Membership Drive and the last day we are taking new members until fall 2018. We will also be completing the 300-yard range that day.

Directions: I-70 exit 1 (W. Alexander, PA) then left at stop sign, then go half mile and turn right on Greaves Rd, then 1/4 mile on right look for our range office with gravel parking lot and split rail fence.

We are having an open membership drive this month with no sponsorship required. You can download and fill out the application from the link below and mail it to us, or you drop it off at the range with a check or cash payment by appointment. There is a $97.50 initiation fee and a yearly $97.50 membership fee. Spouses and children between 16 and 18 are $50 apiece with no initiation fee.

    This was a great day.
There were quite a few people who came and worked hard at installing bench dividers, mixing concrete for the posts, raking out the limestone, doing demo of one platform stand, trimming brush, installing metal targets, on and on.

Maybe a few too many but always better to have too much help than not enough.

Then, we got to do this:
    Awesome day.

It's a damn shame that yinz are all the way out there but woe is me. That AR with the tag hanging off of it reminded me of Minnie Pearl on Hee Haw.

It wasn't bad at all. Glad you got a chance to shoot the saw. The rate of fire is definitely quicker than the 60. Would have liked to stay for that but decided to bug out early to get to Ace's before they closed. Made a payment on my layaway since I was out that way.

What a great turn out for our Spring Volunteer Day. We worked hard and finished the 300-yard range in 5 hours then ate pizza, drank pop, and shot about 1,000 rounds of ammo out of a FAL 308 MG, 4 types of M16’s, and shot for the first time our brand new M249 SAW MG.

Thank you everyone for the hard work on this beautiful spring day !!!

I emptied it 5 minutes after the pic.
Look at the group pic and tell me what I'm holding in my hand.

I forgot to mention that we hung 40 metal targets on this new range on Saturday of which 38 were 1'x1' square targets painted white. Furthest distance is ~300+ yards. The trees made it impossible to range the further targets. I'll get some GPS coordinates this week and get distances for the furthest 10 targets.

By the end of the year we will have 50 metal targets and we will keep adding them over next few years until we have 100 metal targets.

Allowable calibers: 30 cal below. No magnums. No machine guns allowed.

First tournament is our AR-15 / AR-10 Tournament which will be held on May 19th, 2018 from 8:00 AM till 7:00 PM at Washington County Tactical Range. Details here:
