Traveling in NJ with guns
As I've noticed, lots of gun owners and gun enthusiasts have phobias of traveling through states such as NJ, at least if they're traveling with guns. Lets say you're going from PA to Maine and you're bringing guns with you. Unless you take a much longer route, you will have to go through NJ. I will say this much, I've traveled in NJ with guns many times and being paranoid about it doesn't help. Just don't do anything to get pulled over. I know that PA and NJ are as different as night and day when it comes to guns and gun rights, they are absolute polar opposites. Some people would say you should avoid NJ altogether, if you're route takes you through NJ you should take a different route and go around NJ even if it takes you much much longer. As for me I don't have a choice as I've got a residence in NJ. So I've done lots of traveling with guns in NJ and I haven't had any problems so far.

Re: Traveling in NJ with guns
That's the key phrase of your entire post. So far. Plenty of others have had troubles, and plenty more (maybe even you) will in the future.
Avoid NJ if all reasonably possible. If not possible, fill gas tank, take a potty break, whatever else is needed BEFORE entering NJ. Don't stop again until you re-enter free America.
Be 100% certain you know the laws pertaining to interstate travel and make certain you're 100% in compliance with said laws. Not certain and can't avoid NJ? Leave the guns at home.

So, Cabela's is the best place to do transfer, and you have nothing to fear by bringing guns into the DPRNJ?

Re: Traveling in NJ with guns
I've got PA plates and I've never been pulled over in NJ because I've got PA plates. I still do tons of driving in NJ, usually without guns in my car, but I've never been pulled over because my license plate is from out of state. And I see tons of other cars with PA plates in NJ.

Re: Traveling in NJ with guns
I wouldn't say Cabela's is the best place to do a transfer just one of the least expensive places. If you're closer to the Easton area you would probably be better off doing transfers at 507 Outfitters since they would be much closer and they charge the same price.
As for me, Im in the Port Carbon area so Cabela's is much closer.
