Unfortunately they did start voting. As of the writing of this post the bump stock ban, expanded background checks, and the 10 round mag limitation all passed. At one time Vermont had the most lax gun laws in the entire country. Looks like those days are gone.

Sounds like you need a cigarette and a pep talk from Dog.

See, this is why I shy away from being an optimist.

Large mag capacities give your firearm increased reliability, all other things being equal, in an exchange between multiple opponents. Self defense isn't fighting a duel.

If high cap magazines are good enough for police than they're good enough for us mundanes.

It's always against "gun violence" never just "violence". Which really means against guns, the violence part is for dramatic effect.

I agree, that's my point. If AR's are to be classified as "military", then police are not to have "military" weapons.

I grew up on the NY side of the border and for a while worked near Manchester. The crime rate is very low there because either folks are very well armed or they are too stoned to be motivated to commit a crime, nonetheless take a shower.

Now there’s a disruption in the maple syrup force the down slide of the VT lifestyle is going to be even worse.

And reading the VT Dems Twitter feed has me convinced that they have gone full retard.

Some of the Republicans are complicit in this as well.

So far it has to pass the VT Senate, so it's not done yet.
