Media produced that content because it made them money. Now that Trump got elected they had an "oh shit" moment and decided they needed to push more propaganda so it doesn't happen again.

I was pro-Trump. No more. And I'm voting against every single incumbent Republican I can. If we can't primary them out, then I vote libertarian. It's about punishing those in power rather than hoping for improvement. This will not get better and there will be no improvement until the Republican party feels some pain in the voting booth.
I'm not renewing my nra membership either. They have not been as strong on national reciprocity as they should have been and they did not use their political influence to force politicians to vote on it or to call out those politicians who did not wholeheartedly support it.
