Makes sense. German children were using panzerschreks against Russian tanks at the end of WW2, why not give them crew served weapons.

Is that 18/19yr old grunt going to question an order when his LT is screaming in his ear?
    A grunt? 25/75.

An NCO....maybe not on active duty, but I have more time in grade then most NCOs my rank have time in the army. Active duty is unbelievably young. CSMS with less then 20 years in service? please. I knew specialists with that many years in grade. When we deployed our operations CSM had 30 years in our unit.

The guard has gotten younger, but not that young.

This. I don't expect the NY/NJ power grid to last very long.

I remember reading somewhere they polled military and police and police where overwhelmingly more willing to fire on citizens than military. I think if a confiscation would occur(very unlikely) it would be the police not military

When I saw the CNN special with the crowd frothing and calling the NRA murderers and by proxy all gun owners. I thought right there and then, we are being dehumanized, so that any future force used against us will be justified - we are murderers and supporters of murder after all and are getting just what we deserve . Meanwhile the actual murderer is getting love letters in prison. I agree with previous posts, god help us all if this leads to civil war (they have been started for less), it would be the bloodiest, most horrific thing this world has ever seen.

Dont need to. Lay low.. Tanks need to be refueled and re-armed. That is when you deal with a tank.

    Same applies to airplanes.

The best way to deal with fighting a military is to go straight for the head of the snake, and those who supported/sent the military. Dealing with the military should be a matter of targets of opportunity.

Should this type of shit hit the fan here, I wouldn't go toe-to-toe with the military. I'd go after those who elected the tyrants, then move up. Even if you win against the tyrant and his military, the folks that put them there still exist.

I was just thinking about the above quote and it doesn't take small arms. it's certainly helpful but iirc Warsaw ghetto started with a hammer.
ieds are also effective. bows and blades. even little furry dudes with rocks and tree trunks.

what it takes is will and determination, something humans are quickly forgetting.
