the history of the US is about armed militias fighting other armed militias, never winning against the government. That includes the biggest losers, the Confederates.
Wasn't the British Crown a government in 1776 and in 1812?
And winning or losing is not the issue anyway, its the act of defiance itself.
If the South had more firepower (ie factories to churn out guns) the result might have been different.

What the author forgot is there are millions of ex vets trained in the same type of warfare. Some know how to operate the tanks and choppers. Some know how the system works when it comes to spying. As mentioned not all military would willing to kill their own family.

they also assume that drone strikes and tanks etc will be accepted on American streets, we cant use them in foreign countries without being called babykillers etc. the rules of engagement wouldnt allow the govt to win.

    2. Stop. You and your scrappy gang of wolverines are not going to defeat drone warfare, attack choppers, or tanks. That's not how it works. You are literally tagging "here's my cosplay wank fantasy" as the third rung onto two fairly decent points.

    4. When tyranny comes, it will come through the ballot box, late stage capitalism, and infrastructure warfare. You're pimping an 18th century solution vs 21st century military and surveillance tech.

    5. Just a heads up, if you'd like "pretty okay with the 2nd Amendment liberals" like me to take you seriously, leave off the crazy Natty Bumpo fantasy bits. Then we can pass some GVRO and background check laws and talk like fucking adults."

Ok I get that the OP didn't post this. WTF is this nonsense? OP do you knw who posted this? If so maybe you can invite them to the forum for interpretation.

The post was a screenshot of a Twitter post, and I don't have Twitter. I have no access to the author. His name is John Rogers @jonrog1

This is just a laughably ignorant thing to say. The history of America is literally the story of an armed insurrection prevailing against a tyranical government. That is why we have a country, and that is why the founders wrote the second amendment.

I also think its cute how this guy says (I'm paraphrasing):Look, idiots, I'm being open minded here so just give up a bunch of your rights, and I'll leave you a few, so quit struggling and just be an adult about this.

My response to that is simple: Yea, thats cool and all, but heres another idea, fuck you, fuck your smug liberal attitude, and fuck the socialist horse you rode in on. Come get 'em.

If you don't think you can win against tanks and choppers, it just shows that you just haven't given it enough thought.

Glass bottle, gasoline, rag. I think it still works against tanks.

The quoted guy is an antigun activist pretending to be a gun guy.

They are using this ruse more and more. They are tring to change American values. They are subversive socialist provocatures.

It's called propaganda. Tell a lie long enough and loud enough and people will believe it.

I also wish liberals would make up their minds here. Either our guns are dangerous weapons of war which have no place in society, or they are puny pathetic mouse farts incapable of taking on the military. You can't have it both ways.
