Reddit banning gun communities
https://www.cnet.com/news/reddit-rem...elated-forums/
Reddit has taken steps to start banning of gun communities. All the while communities that support illicit drug use, prostitution, pedophilia, canibalism and the like are alive and thriving.
This is coming from a company that had a shit fit when net neutrality was being discussed

Re: Reddit banning gun communities
Reddit can go suck balls.
I think it is only a matter of time until a pro gun organization starts its own social media company for all the conservatives that are being forced off of facebook, youtube, reddit, et al.
There is a lot of money to be made from the conservative content that is looking for a friendly home. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Unfortunately preaching to the choir doesn’t get new people into the community. That was the big draw to YouTube. You could start out watching a video about cooking ham in a smoker then two hours later your into your 5th demolition ranch video and seeing something new and fun.

Banning something just makes it more enticing to young people. This may be one more step towards conservatism becoming the new counterculture.

Re: Reddit banning gun communities
All true.
But things are in motion that need a response.
A gun community may be the only answer.
If it's successful, which it will be based on conservative draw in every arena, it will have the opportunity to eventually cross the barrier back into the open community.
Remember, the Liberals don't outnumber us, they just hold a lot of key positions in media access.
Eventually money and market will influence the outcome.
In the short term we need a pro gun media content platform to get started. How can you have any cookies if you don't drink your milk?

Re: Reddit banning gun communities
The left is willing to ban people from the right from using their services.
The right is hell-bent on using services provided by the left, rather than banning those services from their "business" and creating their own alternatives, and competing for business.
Whose fault it that?
Hint: It's not the left's.
