My metal guns are my favorites - my revolvers/CZ75 I find the lightweight polymer a little punishing to shoot in comparison to the metal CZ75 or some of the revolvers in low calibre. The polymers are ok and do what they are supposed to well, but i still prefer "stainless".

In fact... come to think of it, I no longer own a non-polymer pistol.
I have no doubt that a polymer frame can go 100k rounds, perhaps more than an alloy frame. However, in 50 years, or more, the polymer *may* de-polymerize enough to make it unsuitable for my kids or their kids to use. The alloy frames will be just fine.

The only polymer I have are in the form of AR lowers. If they degrade/fail then I have parts for other lowers.

That's silly... I have an HK VP70 that's 39 years old. Polymer is still hard as a rock (and I'm sure polymers have advanced since then). The metal, on the other hand, is starting to turn brown.

Time certainly will tell. I'm also certain that they will outlast me which is all I need.

    Today (2020). What?
    It's 2018. Sig makes 2023 & 2022.
    What are you saying?

Tupperware was because of the box the glock came in.
The box was like a Tupperware square with a hole in the center.
    I still have mine.
Nobody ever called a hi point Tupperware. Ever.

Entropy is a long time. It gets everything.

    U.V. Is the polymer kryptonite.

Water/oxygen is the steel/aluminum kryptonite. Add salt for good measure.

    Fire/heat melts them all.

Plastic comes from petro comes from living things ergo plastic has a better chance at having a soul than any metal.

Do you get the same satisfaction of pistol whipping someone with a polymer as metal?

    Just curious.
