Re: Can a PA resident buy a gun in NJ?
It may not make you a "dual resident" but I swear I just read this. It had a whole "If a person spends most of the year in state X.... and went on to essentially say its ok to own a gun in NJ.
I spent like 40 mins trying to find it. It may have been just incorrect information, but sounded legit at the time. Luckily (and sadly) it wont matter as Im sure this is a scam. I offered the PA FFL deal sufggested , too much work, but I will have a two day inspection period to make sure I like the gun. LOL
I'm going to offer to meet her in person and bring her cash, and then I can see how state to state FFL works from both sides too. If this is legit, which is just a hope....

Re: Can a PA resident buy a gun in NJ?
In order to buy a rifle in New jermany as a PA resident or NJ resident, you need to apply for a firearms ID card. Aka FID card. Takes anywhere between 30-90 days depending on how they are feeling. You also need to get fingerprinted which costs $60 the last time I checked. Then you need to submit it. Then wait until you get the call.

I wouldn't be surprised because of all the new Democratic control of New Jersey if they started doing stings to try and get Pennsylvania gun buyers to cross the border for a quick gun by by promising great deals.

I'm surprised nobody from the Lehigh Valley has answered because I know a few that have and some that shoot at the Phillipsburg Pistol Club in NJ.

get a copy of your local dealer's FFL
Have seller meet you at a NJ gun shop that will ship it to PA
Get there early and wait on them. Check out the firearm after they arrive.
Once they transfer it to the FFL hand them money..
Return to PA and wait for your FFL to call youRetired US Army

Re: Can a PA resident buy a gun in NJ?
Well there's a flaw in your logic, if you are in the FFL, they aren't going to let you handle the firearm unless you are in possession of a FID card. And if you are talking about looking over the firearm in the parking lot, you'll be in violation of NJ law without said FID card. So I'm not sure where you propose looking at it before transfer
