Default Proposed Oregon Gun Ban Ballot Initiative

    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018...allot-measure/

This is going to be the next avenue of attack on our Second Amendment rights. California did it. Now Oregon is going to try. Since lefty urbanites pretty much drive state politics in many states, such an initiative will easily garner the 88,000 signatures to make the ballot with Portland and Eugene dominating Oregon politics. It may pass if only a simple majority is required for passage. The State did go for Clinton. It took only 8 of 26 counties to do it.

So the urban left from 8 counties is going to make criminals out of law-abiding Oregon citizens overnight if this passes.

Should it pass, we can expect that law enforcement in some of 26 counties will refuse to enforce the law as an unconstitutional infringement. Law enforcement in the 8 leftist counties will enforce it. Law enforcement in Portland and Eugene will enforce it aggressively. It will take a decade to work its way through the courts. During that time the lefties will not be content to see their law not result in statewide confiscations, prosecution and incarceration of law-abiding citizens. They will press, and with a Democrat Governor, probably get the State Police and National Guard to move systematically to search, confiscate and prosecute. Oregon citizens may be the first tested should the confiscations begin.

Any non-resident traveling through Oregon would probably be jailed in an instant traveling under FOPA.

Would a state declaring their own definition of an "Assault Weapon", which has been clearly defined by the Feds stand up to a legal challenge?
You are a straight white man. You don't get to be the victim, sweetie.

Not sure. Subject to the constraints of the Second Amendment and State Constitutional protections, I think they could. I do not know that the Federal definition preempts the field. A number of states have their own definitions.

Confiscations should mean to Americans the communists have declared war and the appropriate steps should be taken. We are on the verge of civil war, choose your side now.

It's sad how we have to continue to rely on the very government that's stripping us of our rights to protect our rights....

North Caroline has laws written that refer to any gun with a suppressor as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction".

And I just finished reading the "Why are white men stockpiling guns?" thread......

It is horribly ironic how the Democrat party of at least California and Oregon are so easily willing to support majority rule on this issue, when they have been crying out about how bad majority rule has been over the decades.
    ...and they have a plan...

If the left didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all.
