    Default Trap/Skeet outdoor rifle range

    Hello,

I just moved to Philadelphia from Vermont. I'm looking for a Trap club that also has an outdoor rifle range. This is a pretty common set up in Vermont so I'm hoping to find a good club here too. I would prefer something with a 200 or 300 yard range minimum, not sure if I'm asking to much though. I live in Manayunk, I'm still trying to figure out where everything is around here but I'm thinking Bucks and Montgomery counties are the best bet. Bonus if they have a pistol range but I seem to have no issue finding those around the city. Thanks for the help!

Lower Providence Rod & Gun club is in Oaks. Take the Schuykill west to KofP, then 2 exits on 422 West. About 30 minutes from Manayunk.
Pistol ranges, 15 yard indoor and 25 yard outdoor
    Rifle range, 100 yards
Archery, indoor and outdoor, 3D targets
Trap field, 2 organized shoots per week, 2 manual traps for use too

To be fair and honest...Lower Providence will actually take about 45-60 minutes...on a good day, from Philly. It is rare to get thru to 422 without a jam up. Also, they do not offer skeet. They do however have a terrific Trap field with 4 houses, and just had a major million dollar upgrade to the clubhouse and expanded the indoor 50’ range.

Holmesburg Fish and Game is a jaunt up 95 at about half the drive time generally depending upon traffic and offers:
Trap, Skeet, at least 100yd Rifle and Outdoor 50+yard and indoor 50’ pistol ranges. However, the trap and skeet range “field” is against a black curtain as there is some ongoing construction for the time being.
