Re: Do you carry your CCW with +1?
Actually, it does not. Practice makes permanent. Perfect practice makes perfect.
Just keep in mind that whatever you practice is what you will learn and what you will default to in a stress situation. So make sure you have the utmost confidence that whatever you are practicing is in fact the best technique for you.
For example, if you practice shooting "gangsta style" for a couple years, it will be harder for you to learn how to shoot in a good stance with aimed shots than if you had started practicing aimed shots in the first place. Also, you will have a significant period of time where even though you prefer aimed shots, you will default to "gangsta style" in an unexpected stress situation. (this is not to say you shoot 'gangsta style' just making an example to illustrate the point)
The best thing you can do is participate in some professional training programs so you can get a real sense for what some of the best techniques are, why the experts prefer certain ones and which ones work best for you.
The saying that old habits die hard is true, and it is not fun to realize you have invested a lot of time in doing something wrong, especially when you know you will have to invest even more time in correcting the bad habit.

The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

I always carry a weapon fully loaded, preparing and anticipating that I'm gonna need to use it. Then I go through the day hoping that never becomes a reality.

1.2 aint anything special. The IPSC Masters and GM's would make that look like childs play.
I've seen vids of guys hitting a target like that from the draw in ~.6
Not with an IWB behind 3:00 and a 5.5lb Glock trigger...but they'd still spank the crap out of me with the same setup I use.
Anywho, thanks, but I'm not anything special....I just like pushing myself.

I carry +1... Its just a personal preference.
FYI!
I am starting to take orders for the first run of The Gadsden Flag "Don't Tread On Me" T-shirts.
Visit this link for more info and order options.
http://forum.pafoa.org/commercial-bu...me-shirts.html (Gadsden Flag/Don't Tread On Me Shirts)
I can deliver the shirts to anyone who will be attending the group shoot in June... so please don't pay the $3.00 shipping charge if you are going to be attending the June shoot.
We are printing 50 shirts for the first run.
I will update the Thread (link above) with the remaining quantity of each size as they are claimed.Last edited by Tony Fly; May 27th, 2009 at 11:19 AM.
