Re: Bump stock confiscation ?
Almost right, except the cop won't get a promotion for a lone felony arrest.
Most gun folks don't own illegal full autos because we've seen enough people go the federal prison for 5+ years and pay huge fines. Same here, a few arrests for non-compliance and most will fall in line."A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself"

Re: Bump stock confiscation ?
It'll never happen, ever. At least under DJT administration.

Re: Bump stock confiscation ?
Not if written correctly. Example:
As of 1 January 2019, possession of XYZ is a felony, punishable by 5 years imprisonment and $500,000 fine.
Now - this law addresses something in the future. It makes no mention, nor does it cover, purchase or possession of something in the past. Additionally, this law makes no mention of confiscation of XYZ. The government isn't taking it from you, nor is it requiring you to "turn it in" with no compensation. Whatever you do with it is entirely up to you - but if it catches you with one as of 1 January 2019, life will not be so good.

Re: Bump stock confiscation ?
If I have something which I got legally, (and am protected by the 2nd Amendment to have gotten in my possession) and now they want to confiscate it, shoot me for it, or put me i jail for wanting to keep it, then in order to come to a fair agreement to abide them yet avoid despicable acts in their part... they may compensate my loss of it for the going price of me purchasing an armed task force army suitable to my whim and equipping for them with arms of their choosing and substantive income to live a comfortable life style of their choosing.
I’m being as reasonable as they are.

Re: Bump stock confiscation ?
Why does everyone need a belt loop to bump fire?
When I first learned what bump firing was it was demo'd without any gimmick, or "tool" - and it wasn't "from the hip" - it was "aimed", controlled, and from the "shoulder".
I assume that's harder, but...I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
