While its certainly against the intentions and spirit of the bill of rights in general, youtube is not a govt entity, so it is not explicitly unconstitutonal.

Its definitely freedom hating bullshit for a private entity to be censoring access to information like this though, imo. Especially one with as much of a monopoly on distrubution of video information as youtube.

You are correct. I don't stay as "in the know" as I would like but, until just recently Full30 was invitation only for content makers because they are supporting the costs themselves. The channels had to have significant following and you couldn't be a new start-up.

I think with the recent YouTube bs that they(Full30) are trying to open the doors a little further to give others a home.

It's going to be a challenge. I am stuck with DSL internet service and viewing content on Full30 seems a bit laggy/choppy to me. I can usually view YouTube at 480, and I pretty much have to degrade to 360 on Full30.

They also need a phone app which they are struggling with.

*YouTube is really pissing me off. I have learned a great deal about reloading on there. I haven't checked through my saved library to see which if any of my favorite channels/videos are gone

This why I have a library full of binders and books on information I deem important.
The plug can be pulled on the internet at any given time.

I understand that YouTube is a private enterprise but couldn't the Gov step in and regulate them as a utility like AT&T. They seem to have a virtual monopoly on internet video hosting. Not that I'm begging the government to jump in but it could be something Google might have to deal with if a lawsuit over First Amendment rights comes up.

They certainly DO NOT have such a monopoly.

You can go out right now and get yourself a hosting account and put whatever the fuck you want on it (more or less) - for cheap too. A whopping $4/month, with unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth (https://www.a2hosting.com/web-hosting/compare).

    • If you lack the meager technical skills to do so, that's not anyone else's fault.
    • If you lack the wherewithal to entice people to visit your site, that's not anyone else's fault either.
    • If you're not able to make money from it - again, not anyone else's fault.

But it is certainly not true that YouTube has a monopoly on video hosting. Not even remotely true.

Why you always gotta be rainin on people's rants (:

On a serious note, it's not my hosting or money making that I give a shit about. It's about finding content from multiple creators that I want to watch in one place.
