I was once prescribed an anti- depressant to help with nerve damage from an accident.

Well see that's why this is so insidious. First they say "oh only mentally ill people are banned from owning guns." Then slowly but consistently change the definition of what defines mental illness. After a while, wanting to go into the woods to kill a wild animal will be considered a mental illness.

Mental Illness will be defined as indicated in DSM 5 as soon as it is updated to reflect our needs.

Mental Illness as defined by government; is a tool of control by government.

America must suffer until it reaches the point that Liberty is more important than Comforts.

Yep - back in the early 2000s health plans would not cover Chantix or Zyban to quit smoking (guess they were still unproven on a wide scale). These drugs were actually re-branded forms of existing antidepressant drugs for smoking cessation after FDA trials. So guess what - a bunch of doctors said to their patients - "So your health plan wont pay for Chantix or Zyban but it will pay for other antidepressants that are essentially the same drug, all we need to do is say you have been a little sad and prescribe it to you and save you a bunch of money. So now you quit smoking and saved money - yeeeeeah! And now you have been documented as being treated for depression and possibly lose your gun rights in the future. Boooooooo

SB-17 is a Senate bill that backs up HB 2145. Find information and read the bill here:

That is exactly what will happen. Going to marriage counselling to save your marriage, or to learn how to deal with the issues will become prohibitive. We all know how government works, and they always go to extremes to restrict as much as they can get away with. Government in general, HATES that citizens have legally owned guns.

How soon before other illnesses are added to that list? "You cannot possess a firearm if you have diabetes."
