Default WalMart hero, see something, say something

"The police inquiry began on March 7, when an unidentified Walmart employee now being described as a hero alerted local police that Reynolds had used a gift card to purchase large quantities of ammunition, camping gear, knives, tools and other items deemed suspicious at the store on Route 13."

Sounds as if the fellow was going off the deep end, but even so wind is blowing towards a new era of see something, say something. Wonder what the right UPS driver would think of 8 pounds of smokeless and a few thousand primers?
It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

If those items are suspicious, why does Walmart sell them?
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

If only the government could just monitor everyone all the time and raid their house/arrest/interrogate them for doing something "suspicious" we would be such a safer country.

The purchase of ammonium nitrate in and of itself is not suspicious. Buying 1000 pounds of it to load in the back of your van, somewhat more so.
