Updated**New set of Altamont grips..(on gun pics added)...QC issue or am I too picky?
These just came in for my Smith and Wesson N frame. It’s a round butt so choices are somewhat limited but these get very positive reviews. For those of you familiar with my screen name you know I’m not a stickler for perfection but it just seems that for $62 shipped the rear cut outs specifically should lineup much better than these. They also don’t meet tight at the front near the base. I’ve emailed these photos to their customer service to see what they suggest. In the meantime I’m wondering if they should definitely be sent back or if I’m just being too picky.

Got any pics of the grips installed on the revolver?

People accepting sub-par quality is why manufacturers allow it in their products when they go out.
I guess it depends on how that lines up on your gun. I'd just be guessing, so I have no suggestion on what you should do.

No, you aren't being too picky. I would have already shipped them back for replacement. If we accept half-assed workmanship then that is all we will ever receive from everybody.

You paid a good price so you should have gotten a good product. I would vote for send 'em back, but would like to see what they look like on the gun.

Personally, I'd definitely put them on the gun before I condemned them as shit.

I think you should get out the Dremel and clean up that fit yourself.
Be sure to post the after photos.

I’ll put them on the gun this weekend and finalize my thoughts. If they still don’t suit I’ll be pushing for a return label too. I’ll let you know what their rep says when they return my email as well. Thanks, B
