Re: New set of Altamont grips...QC issue or am I too picky?
I would send them back. The factory wood grips on my N Frame matched PERFECTLY...even every single ring in the wood matched the other half. Work of art, really. For $60 I would expect at least close to that quality

I just want ahead and put them on the gun tonight, they’re definitely going back.

Yeah. The mismatch on the backstrap I may be able to live with, or file down to make even, but that "CRACK" is a "hell no".

I'd absolutely return those. No where near acceptable to me.

You left out a pole. I think it should be something like this.
1. Send them back for a new set.
2. Send them back and get a refund.
3. Fix them myself.
4. Have Streaker make me a set from Cock ring woodAggies Coach Really ??? Take off the tin foil bro.

Re: New set of Altamont grips..(on gun pics added)...QC issue or am I too picky?
Having seen the new pictures, I would also send them back. You might be able to fix that, but why should you.

I bought a pair from altamont for my Ruger Mark ii and the fit was horrible. I tried fitting, but the locator pins broke ruining the grips and ended up just throwing them away

Yeah, that's unacceptable. A gap that large could even pinch your hand, plus it looks like crap.

Got an email back from them today. They agree there should not be any gaps and think I received a mismatched set. They are sending out a replacement set along with a prepaid return label for the original grips. Seems like very good customer service although their QC or shopping department may need a reboot.
