Anyway, great gun with good power and 20+1, zero recoil.

This is the only change I have thought about due to what has happened over the last 10 years or so.
It is a shame no one makes a smaller 5.7, or is there one and I don't know about it?

I have no problem carrying a full sized gun if I am going somewhere that I think warrants it. I just want the hot stuff. I guess that would be a good reason to start reloading.
    Some people just plain suck.

Bringing a pistol to a gunfight is going to suck no matter how you slice it.
My daily carry gun (1911) is hands down the one I practice with most- that's the one I want on that day.

Like I tell most people carry what's comfortable and you shoot the best. I do not think any of us are planning on a running gun battle. Nor do I think we are planning to search out an active.

Not saying that if the need arises that we are going to stand outside and wait.

So I will continue to carry my 1911.

    I disagree.

If everyone else at your gunfight only brought a knife, you’ll be in good shape.

    My practice, unchanged:

    1. Carry what you train with
    2. If that's more than one, carry as much as you can comfortably.

Elite Ammunition, Vanguard Outfitters, and Desert Ammo Supply all make custom 5.7 ammo. All of it performs better than the SS197 from FN and AE. If you want the "LE only AP" SS190 FN ammo, it can be found at shows and Gunbroker, but you'll be paying a premium for it. There's a box of 50 on GB right now with 8 bids and the price is $266. I bought several boxes of Elite's PenetraTOR, S4M, and T6B for less money than that one box of SS190, and the PenetraTOR and T6B are better rounds.

I'm going to carry my 1911 and my Glock 17. If i don't blow the guy in half with one round of .45, I'll have my Glock for backup when the 1911 malfunctions.

Only thing that malfunctions with a 1911, is the operator.
