Re: Rethinking our carry choices
Informative video indeed.
I see the holster stays put (she should still have a belt on) but I'm worried about retention and ease of someone else drawing it.Galations 6:9...And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Who is going to draw it if they don't know it's there?
I suspect that nearly 100% of guns are carried in holsters with zero means of retention.
I wouldn't suggest it for carrying openly, but if it's concealed, I'm not seeing a big issue.
I've carried for 20+ years using a nylon IWB that clips onto my waistband. Don't need a belt unless your pants are too big, or the gun is too heavy.
I carry the same gun in elastic waistband running shorts.

I have often carried a 9MM, CZ-75D PCR. It is an alloy framed, compact, but still somewhat "service" size. It is about the same size as a G19, but DA/SA with a 15 round capacity. It has served me well for many years.

Re: Rethinking our carry choices
So I have used sticky holsters for multiple purposes before because they are cheap and work well. The seem to be very similar to the remora.
My favorite use is to couple them with Go magnets at home for SD. You can put the gun in the holster and the magnets still work through the holster. When you draw the gun the holster falls to the floor and there is not problem with the magnet coming off the base. There is also no moisture building up on your slide this way as well.
Plus these holster work fine, IWB one minute, jacket or purse carry the next. 20 bucks each.

I'll have to test hers by doing some jumping jacks while wearing a thong.
Seriously though, the retention is surprisingly good. It's also recommended that you heat it up with a hairdryer to help it conform to your particular gun.
She has actually been carrying a lot more since I got it for her.
I think they work so well that I'm probably going to get one or two for my carry guns.

I'm still carrying my subcompacts, at most 10 +1.

Re: Rethinking our carry choices
I would be more interested in the 5.7 if I could get the good stuff. I was thinking about getting a Tok or a Cz in 7.62 when the hot surplus ammo was still easy to find and cheap. I hesitated and missed the boat.
This is the only change I have thought about due to what has happened over the last 10 years or so.Some people just plain suck.
If you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough.
