Re: Things are looking up for assault rifles
Let’s hope SCOTUS starts doing its job and allowing these cases to be heard.

SCOTUS... Be careful what you wish for... Ruth Bader Douschebag probably has a different interpretation of the 2nd Amendment than we do... And while we know the 2nd Amendment is to keep the Govmt at bay, nobody WANTS to have to execute that right... Just sayin' ...

Re: Things are looking up for assault rifles
My thoughts on the SCOTUS taking a case. Currently conservitives do not have a sure fire majority due to Kennedy (I believe) swinging back and forth on some issues. Hearing a gun case right now might not go our way. While things are not great recently in regards to the 2nd a negative ruling saying for example ARs are not protected would be a lot worse. ALOT worse.
I realize “AR” is ambiguous but I use the term as an example.
A ruling like that could open the flood gate or at a minimum take a lifetime if ever to overturn.
My thoery/hope is the 4 “stronger” conservatives will continue to deny cert until they know they can win. If and when they have a solid majority then I think a ruling on this topic will be more likely.
I feel this is the ultimate case of do not ask a question unless you are willing to deal with the answer. When you ask the SCOTUS a question the answer you get is the law and there isn’t a whole lot in the short term that can be done about that.
Just my two cents for what it’s worth.

Re: Things are looking up for assault rifles
[QUOTE=Fred762;3763383]Judge just ruled that state CAN ban certain semi-auto rifles..ARs to be exct effer.
Yeah, the US Supreme Court ruled a long time ago that human being sold as property could be captured in "free" States and then returned to their "owners". Called the Dredd Scott decision.
I'm not happy about this crap ruling.
See, it's easy to pass a law.
Tougher to make it work.
