Default Willistown Township anti gun resolution TONIGHT

There was a discussion regarding Townships and boroughs passing do-nothinng resolutions, wanted to get another thread on top in case anyone else lives in Willistown Township. Tonights meeting agenda has a discussion planned for the anti-gun resolution.

Willistown has 2 Repub supervisors and a newly elected Dem supervisor...the Dem base is rabid and motovated, emails went out to Dem followers today to show up at the meeting tonight and urge the Repub sups to support anti gun resolutions and laws.

If anyone else is in Willistown, please come show support. 630pm Sugartown Elementary School

I don't live in Willistown but I want to follow this closely since it's now becoming a trend for those who don't have any legal power to pass anti gun ordinances to believe they can regardless of the support they may or may not have.

All this requires is one person to show up with a copy of the UFA and ask if any of the supervisors can read. Hand it to them and get them on record that they have zero authority to legislate firearm laws.

Then ask what they're doing about the pot holes, since that's their actual job.

In the correct world you are right, and I have shared all that info. But as we have seen with judicial activism and overreach, the Dem supervisor fully believes it is within her power to pass a resolution and of it were up to her, pass additional laws. The Township has a “no discharge” ordinance already that states only hunting and authorized ranges only.

Does your township have its own PD? What she “believes” she can do and what she can actually do are two different things. I’m sure the local tax payers will enjoy footing her bills for the impending law suits.

Fine then serve up the response informing them that their actions bare legal consequences if enforced.

A no discharge ordinance is completely with their authority (within reason).
