I am guessing she had the gun with her on the job in some way (in violation of some policy/reg/law), or told someone she did (whether she had it or not), OR, she was fired for some totally unrelated reason, and, knowing (through whatever means) she had a concealed carry permit, the police were just a precaution.

Alternatively - let's look at the information provided and determine, objectively, what the most likely truth may be (as much as we can) - regardless of who may be to blame - without giving a pass to anyone simply because we may agree with their politics, or condemning someone simply because we don't.
