Former Associate of US Supreme court Advocates repealing the 2nd Amendant WTF
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opini...ocid=DELLDHP17
Is this guy past his expiration Date
Part of the article
"Rarely in my lifetime have I seen the type of civic engagement schoolchildren and their supporters demonstrated in Washington and other major cities throughout the country this past Saturday. These demonstrations demand our respect. They reveal the broad public support for legislation to minimize the risk of mass killings of schoolchildren and others in our society.
That support is a clear sign to lawmakers to enact legislation prohibiting civilian ownership of semiautomatic weapons, increasing the minimum age to buy a gun from 18 to 21 years old, and establishing more comprehensive background checks on all purchasers of firearms. But the demonstrators should seek more effective and more lasting reform. They should demand a repeal of the Second Amendment."

Another of those that should be pushing up weeds with his citizens as slaves of the state ideals.
Corruption is the default behavior of government officials. JPC

The 2nd Amendment is self-limiting. There is no way that any group or individual within the group, scattered throughout the land, could prevail against the technology our government has. When the amendment was signed, the people had flintlocks and could fight an abusive government or invader.
Then the government declared itself the protector of the people, and took certain arms from us, and prohibited our possessing "destructive devices".
The government via military can send a missile from hundreds of miles away and surgically destroy an individual residence or building.
All that is left us today is live free or die. I believe the government, enforcing gun law to save lives, will take resisting lives.
Today's abusive government is the judicial branch. And all we do is send money to orgs that practice law in the abuser's arenas.

In the 1700's, American patriots would have dressed as Indians, waited until the offending "government official" was out of their house, and then burned it to the ground. Message being: "don't fuck with our liberties".
Try even alluding to something like this today, and you are considered a terrorist, a threat to "society". Umm, which "society" is a threat to whom anymore?????

He is confused, the 2nd amendment does not give us a right, it enumerates a right that everyone is born with, the right to self protection. Everything is born with that right, all the animals and even the plants. To think he was on the super court with such little knowledge of the Constitution is scary. The Constitution is rules for the government to follow.
In the beginning the States would not ratify the Constitution until the "Bill of Rights" was added, that's how important the people thought it was.

He said something similar in 2014.... that the 2nd Amendment didn't really matter.
For more than 200 years following the adoption of that amendment, federal judges uniformly understood that the right protected by that text was limited in two ways: First, it applied only to keeping and bearing arms for military purposes, and second, while it limited the power of the federal government, it did not impose any limit whatsoever on the power of states or local governments to regulate the ownership or use of firearms.

Now he "thinks" that repeal will do the trick - in other words he's vacillated on his original claim.
He's as confused as those marchers.
