Going to Rally for Our Rights - Columbus 3/10/18

I'm in the middle of uploading my photos/videos, but holy crap, Flickr is acting like Photobucket and stuff keeps timing out and getting things out of order, or simply freezing. I'm doing them in batches of 5 because more than that causes problems.

Heh. It's only a matter of time.
I put most of my gun stuff on postimage because I hate that every member of Flickr has access to your stuff, but I need to crop/edit pics and postimage doesn't have the editing tools.

Finally got my rally photos uploaded and cropped. Tons of pics to post and a few vids. (attempted to pan around to show the crowd)

Westward bound. Headed towards Pittsburgh - and beyond...





Zanesville Ohio...

Columbus! (never been there - drove past on my way to Dayton once, 30 years ago, but this is my first time stopping)

The exit that the GPS said to use was blocked for construction, so we went past and got off and headed back towards town from the west side.











Downtown!








That's where we're headed - the Ohio State House...





It's right in downtown Columbus.
This is right across the street to the left side...

Entry/exit points. Nobody was checked, no bag restrictions. A representative from one of the Ohio gun groups greeted everyone as they came through.




It's a beautiful structure. Would have been cool to see more for the historic aspect.








Since we arrived early, we walked up to the far corner and then back across the street to find a restaurant before heading back over to the rally.




Fist time I've seen an OC AR15 in the wild! Yes, most of teh people eating then were there for the rally, but others were clearly NOT. Nobody went running, screaming for help.

The rally starts about 45 minutes from when the following set of photos were taken, so people are just filtering in.

This shot gives an idea of the distance from the steps to the street...




Since there was time before the rally started, I walked around and took a few more pics.



















The crowd grows. Lots of militias represented.




More people coming in...





Of course I had to say hello to all the pooches!

Check out the leash/collar.








Just a few minutes left before it starts for fans to get their pics taken with Hickok45. LOL

The Rally for Our Rights begins - Columbus Ohio - March 10, 2018 - 1:00pm














You can't really see them well, but as the rally began, the mounted police rode up the street and lined up in front of the buildings across the street - followed by a handful of bicycle police.




I had also picked out the police on the top of the short building after someone had pointed them out on another taller building.
