These kids are blind - where are the signs for their real everyday problem in schools and students today besides mental health issues which they have all closed their ears to -

Be interesting to take them out of school for a pro-2A rally and see what would happen.

Meanwhile, any kids that do not want to participate in the anti Second Amendment rallies will likely be bullied by their peers, teachers and administrators, and, perhaps, some physically assaulted for not going along. Wanna bet the school districts refuse to enforce all those "anti bullying" programs they are so fond of?

The fact that administrators are forcing students to participate sure does seem like a bullying issue to me.

That said, I know exactly what the response will be to the forced participation - they can't leave students who don't want to go out "all alone" inside - it's a safety issue.

I just watched a few snippets of some of the young protesters and I couldn't help but wonder where is all that passion and vitriol when it comes to kids shooting up each other in their neighborhood's? The one gal was going on about how she does not go to school to dodge bullets...well shit, why is it acceptable to have to do so while on your way to the corner store?

    Exactly...

While 17 deaths is horrible and tragic, it's statistically insignificant compared with the thousands of murders of young Americans in inner cities etc

Every teacher that encouraged students to walk out needs fired! They get paid to teach, that's fucking it!

The reports that I saw reported less than 50% participation, that is a good thing but you know it'll get spun to give them more credibility than that.

Child services would most likely be involved.

I listened to snippets of some speeches too. These are young kids. No disrespect intended, but they don't know their ass from their elbow. They depend on their parents or other family members for virtually everything. They've never had a real job or had to deal with the trials and tribulations of being an independent adult. They've done and experienced next to nothing during their short time on this earth.

People are doing them a great disservice by letting them think their opinions on how to make this country and the world a better place matter. That same kind of behavior was encouraged in the 60's and all it got us was a bunch of old pot heads like Bernie Sanders. Finish school, get a job, and become an upstanding and tax paying member of society. Get some experiences under your belt. Only then will I be interested in what you have to say.
