Smith and Wesson 1006, 645 or 4506. Smith and Wesson Revolvers without the Hillary hole especially the model 29. I wanted another Model 29 but I just could not drop that kind of cash on a gun that I would hate right from the box. Shame on you Smith and Wesson.

The HK p7 series. I had two of them at one point. Nice guns. HK could not make them anymore due to cost.

Luger P08. Same deal: too costly to produce.

Sorry to hear that you let them go, a used P7 M8 just went for $3000 on GunBroker

You typically see them around the $1.5-2K mark though. P7M13s tend to be around the 3K mark.

I regret not picking up an M13 when Copper Custom had LE trade ins on sale at $1900. They had the LE markings milled off and cold blued, but it was still a good price. I said I'd wait until I got home from work... Too late...

I've always wanted a P7M13 but my M8 will have to do.
Interesting that the markings were milled off of those thirteens.

why did they stop making them initially?

and seeing the resale value, I would have guessed that they would have been able to project that there is a market for them

If I am not mistaken, in 1994 Stoeger began marketing newly manufactured P08's. I believe (though, again I can be mistaken) that most of the parts were investment castings instead of forged.

Even these have dried up although very occasionally you can see them in gun shows. I saw one for sale a few years ago at a gun store for $900. I should have gotten it...

Yes, they should be brought again to market.

The new Ruger carbine in 10mm or .45 acp. I think it would be an easy shooting platform and would add a significant increase in performance to the pistol rounds.

The Cobra has been reborn. No word yet on any of the others. They would most likely not afford to produce them because the MSRP would leave too many out of the market, thus production price per gun would be astronomical.
