Default Is Trump playing a game.

    Interesting thought.

Could Trump be setting the anti's up to fail? He's enough of a game player to do this.

"But we must ask ourselves: is Trump really done fighting, or is he just sucking in the Democrats, letting them grow overconfident of victory before unleashing a flurry that stops their gun-grabbing plan in its tracks?"

Nope, he's going to ban the private ownership of firearms. I saw it on Youtube.

During the bipartisan meeting he had about schools and guns, he asked the 2 sides to put together a single Bill adding everything they talked about. He also did that with the DACA talks. Since he knows that congress will NEVER come together with a bipartisan sponsored bill, both directives were meant to show that he is willing to work with both sides, but both sides aren't willing to work together.

In the end, he will say he wanted everything that each party wanted but since they can't work together, the country got nothing.

Also take this into consideration and think about this for a minute, during the past months and year we've heard a lot of bad news from the gun industry companies were laying off, the price of ammo went from being worth its weight in gold to being worth its weight in steel, we watched sales that if you buy a shotgun you get 5 AR lowers for free, I'm pretty sure NRA new memberships declined and all because Obama was out of the office and no more evil president coming for your guns.
Nothing like a good old fire-sale to get the numbers going again.

That's a lot of faith to place in someone who has been equally anti gun in their lifetime.

What happens if they get something to Trump's desk? I can see at universal background checks sneaking through.
Then what. He vetoes it? I have my doubts.

I don't have faith I'm just not ready to freak out because a guy that engages his mouth before brain engaged his mouth before brain. He's kinda known to do that. And from what I'm reading he's already backed up. I also thought it possible he was playing with the gun control nuts. Toomey came out defending the current age to buy rifles, I think ARs in particular when asked about Trump wanting to raise the age. Lol
I'll bitch about him and declare the sky is falling when there is more than just a soundbite

He's a rich, big-city liberal with a 5th grade-level knowledge of civics. Unfortunately, he's serious. He's a slave to his own ego, so he'll say whatever is popular with those he wants to please. Our only hope is that since he's held just about every opinion on every side of every issue, he may change his mind when things blow over.
