    Have any tattoos
Have ever used marijuana or an illegal drug
Have ever been treated for alcohol or drug addiction
Have ever pointed a firearm at someone in an unlawful manner
    Have ever attempted suicide
Are currently intoxicated or under the influence of an illegal drug
Have any unpaid parking fines or moving violations
    Have ever been arrested
Understand the LTCF is not a license for employment purposes

While a couple of those make sense, what does having a tattoo have to do with anything?
Sounds like someone might be profiling on the basis of ink. I work with a guy that has numerous tattoo's and no desire to own firearms.

Years ago when getting my initial LTCF in DELCO the sheriff contacted both references and my employer (line 21 on the form). Luckily for me my employer was a gun guy and it wasn't a problem, for me. Many complaints later and they stopped doing that. Also on my subsequent renewals no one was contacted. I've read they still contact referrals for new apps but not renewals.

You are not being detained. You are applying for an LTCF, this is not a criminal investigation. If you do not wish to continue, you are free to leave.

Frank Pike, 32, of Phoenixville bumped into another man and words were exchanged, police said. Pike then lifted up his jacket to show his gun and asked if there was a problem, according to authorities.

Shortly thereafter, the pair began to yell at each other, and fans at the parade broke it up.

But the détente didn't last long. Pike returned again, this time pointing the gun at the other man, police said. The man then punched Pike and put him in a headlock.

One of the other men was able to take Pike's gun away during the altercation, and then ran to get police. The Pike broke free of the man and fled.

Pike, missing his gun, then reported it missing with the Philadelphia Police Department the next day. He told cops that he'd last seen it during the parade.

How would any of these questions prevented Pike from being an asshole??

Well,I just got back from picking up my license.I handed in my application three weeks ago and got my approval letter in the mail yesterday. The place was crowded as usual and I had to park about two blocks away but I didn't have to spend a whole lot of time in there.
It's not the "in and out with your license in fifteen minutes" experience that people of other counties enjoy but I got my license a whole lot sooner than I was expecting to.

Maybe that should be one of the questions. "Do you understand the LTCF is not a license to brandish your gun to avoid a beat-down for being an asshole? I'm partially serious here; sometimes it seems people believe they have more leeway to "protect themself" if a confrontation they started turns against them.
