    If I'm just going to the range I don't usually waste money shooting tracers.
    I remember reading years ago that military forces that use firearms without bolt hold open would load a double tracer at the bottom of the magazine.

    Yup..the buddy was an advisor in the military and he said it is uncanny how many folks do not count rounds in a firefight. Hell I know I'm not experienced enuf to do it..anyways I always load the first 2 rds into the mag tracers in the gun(s) which we keep ready for defense. It pizzes me off that they try to charge a buck apiece for 5.56 tracers anyways.
