    I don't remember anyone using gloves when I started hunting. Just wiped off with a rag or grass till I crossed water to rinse.

    My standard procedure is to lay my orange hat down somewhere out of the way and always put my knife down next to it.

    As for the Wyoming knife, I use the guthook every time and it is awesome.

    Gloves are a very nice add on, they weigh nothing and I usually stash em in my pack, my pockets and my bibs.

    Biggest downside is you forget that your watch is not covered and get it covered in blood

    It's been mentioned only once so far but just about any decent 3" blade plus minus a little will work fine , to me the point shape is more important than any other thing , I like a drop point blade style and have gutted countless deer never cut a gut yet .
