I think they're making the decision on the basis of, "We can piss off 5 million NRA members, or we can piss off everyone else. We'll lose less business by pissing off the former rather than the latter."

the woman was pretty familiar and a bit bitchy about me closing my CC accounts.
it was smooth and quick but she had an attitude.
I wound up transferring my $3200 balance to my chase card because citi wouldn't approve me for more than $2500 limit, even though i had closed $6600 in credit.
so i'll be canceling my empty, new citi card... shame because it was purty, black with sparkles.
