Re: REVOLVER IN 22 MAGNUM WANT EXPERIENCES
I have the Taurus 941 and love it, the 8 round capacity is great, very accurate with the heaver 40gr+ loads. Yes the double action is heavy for a reason, the spring weight is needed for reliable ignition of the WMR primers. Wolf discontinued their sets of lightened spring kits due to light strikes, I did a quickie action job on mine with very fine Emory, stones and metal polish (didn't touch the sear contacts though). It helped smooth things out a good deal, but I shoot mine 75% of the time single action. It is my constant companion on Kayak camping trips, I also have a Ruger single six Convertible , almost never sees the LR cylinder installed, very nice if considering a SA,
If the trigger pull is a deal breaker on DA revolvers, would she consider the Kel Tec PMR 30 ? wont break the bank buying it, but shooting it will with that 30 round mag

Re: REVOLVER IN 22 MAGNUM WANT EXPERIENCES
You might consider this from Smith & Wesson:
Specifications
SKU: 160221
Model: Model 317 Kit Gun™
Caliber: .22 LR
Capacity: 8
Barrel Length: 3" / 7.6 cm
Overall Length: 7.2"
Front Sight: HI-VIZ® Fiber Optic Green
Rear Sight: Adjustable
Action: Single/Double Action
Grip: Synthetic
Weight: 11.7 oz / 331.7g
Cylinder Material: Aluminum Alloy
Barrel Material: Stainless Steel
Frame Material: Aluminum Alloy
Frame Finish: Matte Silver
Purpose: Concealed Carry, Law Enforcement & Military, Recreational Shooting, State Compliance
It's NOT .22 Magnum, but if she trains well enough to keep shots on a area the size of the space from upper lip to center of eyes and better the ears, the shots will go through the sinuses.
If .22 Magnum is really a requirement look at:
Specifications
SKU: 103351
Model: Model 351 C
Caliber: .22 Magnum
Capacity: 7
Barrel Length: 1.875" / 4.8 cm
Overall Length: 6.3"
Front Sight: XS Sights® White Dot
Rear Sight: Fixed U-Notch
Action: Double Action Only
Grip: Synthetic
Weight: 11.5 oz / 326.0g
Cylinder Material: Aluminum Alloy
Barrel Material: Stainless Steel
Frame Material: Aluminum Alloy
Frame Finish: Matte Black

Be sure to check the USED market also save yourself a few bucks.

Re: REVOLVER IN 22 MAGNUM WANT EXPERIENCES
My father got the Taurus 941, when his arthritis made his j frame too uncomfortable to shoot anymore. Trigger kinda sucks in double action, single is acceptable but just. For what it's worth, it's fairly accurate and goes bang Everytime.
Ruger makes the LCR in.22 mag I believe. Try it, I have the 357 version and it has one of the best da triggers I've felt in a revolver.

Re: REVOLVER IN 22 MAGNUM WANT EXPERIENCES
Arthritis is wifes reasoning for this change, rimfire equals less recoil therefore not being hesitant to fire revolver giving up 5 round of 38spl for 8-9 rounsd of 22lr or 22 mag. TY for all your input seems the Ruger LCRX is the best to go with.

Look for an old Colt Lawman. They came in various barrel lengths.
