No. I don't know anything about 3 Gun.

I was looking into the answers as a viable alternative for me. The suggestion is no good for people near Philly (like the OP and like me).

Thanks for bringing the topic back up, maybe some other people who actually train 3 Gun near Philly will provide more detail on relevant (near Philly as stated on OP) options.

Honestly, your best bet to get you started would be to come out and watch a match. 3-gunners are a super friendly bunch of people, so they'll likely answer any questions you might have. There are several different rulesets in 3-gun, so there are certain things you can do at some matches that you can't do at others, but at the beginner level, you can expect plenty of help at the first match you shoot. As far as ones close to Philly, there's Heidelberg out near Reading, and Topton and Ontelaunee up in the Lehigh Valley. Unfortunately, that's as close to the city as you're going to get. Another thing you could consider is starting off by shooting USPSA (pistol), to get your feet wet before throwing in the variable of 3 guns.
