    Default Misdemeanor and gun rights

A got a M2 reckless endangment on my record. I ended up with this charge because I got a dui and I'm a cdl driver. I couldn't lose my job so my lawyer switched it to a higher offense. will this effect my right to concealed carry? And can I still own guns? Is there any other implications I can expect now haveing a record?

Yeah it's punishable with up to two years. But what will it effect directly? Can I still buy guns?

You need to talk to a lawyer before you get in more trouble trying to buy a gun. On the federal 4473 form it asks if you were convicted of a felony that you could have got a greater than one year sentence. If yes you are prohibited. But (I think) in the instructions it says state misdemeanors don't count unless you can get over 2 years. But there are the state laws to consider.............

I never heard of a lawyer "bargaining" to give someone a higher sentence (and not explaining what it means) so he might not be a good one to ask. So find lawyer who specializes in firearms and give him a few hundred dollars. It will be worth it to avoid a felony,

Edit: just reread your post. My answer was for purchasing a firearm. For getting a LTCF I am pretty sure you are prohibited.

You aren't prohibited under Federal law, nor under PA's Title 18, Chapter 61, Subsection 6105 for a violation of Title 18, Chapter 27, Subsection 2705 "Recklessly endangering another person".

That's great news I was really worried about my rights. Being a hunter and a Marksman. Cause I never been in trouble before and the district attorney was really pushing for me to go "a.r.d" but i just really couldn't afford to lose my job.
