I'm also against adding more to the payroll, we already pay enough in taxes for a failing school system across this country. What if we just let law abiding, responsible firearms owners in these gun free zones?

Reduce the school district superintendent's principal's salaries to cover the cost. BTW policemen and other uniformed security personnel are easy to identify and avoid. Better to have armed, trained, unidentified school personnel carrying concealed so no one knows who is armed.
