Re: ***2018 Second Amendment Harrisburg Rally***
I WILL be there this year regardless because this crap regarding guns is absolute lunacy. Are we meeting for breakfast?

Re: ***2018 Second Amendment Harrisburg Rally***
Ive been spreading the word about the rally and have been getting some pushback because of Metcalfe being associated with the event specifically in light of some recent comments he made about FL school shooting students being actors. It seems like the rally would get more support if it weren't tied to a politician. Just throwing this out there, not sure if there is anything that can be done about that.
Also there was some comments regarding the legitimacy of the claims of criminalizing open carry of firearms during the Opioid State of Emergency. My understanding is that Wolf attempted to clarify that it would not effect firearm rights but then contradicted and said it would only be a citation when in reality it is much worse than that.
My source regarding Wolfs contradiction is Prince Laws latest update on the matter as of 1/16/18, https://blog.princelaw.com/2018/01/1...-proclamation/
1. Can anyone shed some light on the issue of the State of Emergency?
2. Can anything be done to get more support from people who are not comfortable supporting an event tied to a particular politician?

Re: ***2018 Second Amendment Harrisburg Rally***
The State of Emergency only effects those people who don't have a LTCF afaik. If you have it, then it wouldn't matter one way or the other. I think it might be expired by the rally, but I would have to check on that.
As far as Metcalf, he's always involved. I doubt that's going to change. It's not really about him. There's going to be multiple speakers. If you don't like him ignore what he's saying. Seriously, this is about making a show for our rights and getting our word out to legislators. Trying to talk to each and every one. His involvement shouldn't matter to the big picture.

Re: ***2018 Second Amendment Harrisburg Rally***
I do have LTCF so not concerned personally just bringing up some pushback I was getting when trying to spread the word.
I understand 100% what the big picture is but other people seem to have a more difficult time overcoming that. I really didn't know much about Metcalfe until it was brought to my attention. Wouldn't change my mind anyway, we need numbers. You know how it is, once one person comes up with an excuse other people jump on the band wagon. Ill be there regardless.
