If you guys come to Philadelphia, I'll buy them, along with dinner. The company I work for even owns a bar/restaurant so that makes it quite simple.

Hey guys, I have a question. I've asked various people about this and have received various answers.

Do "assault rifles" count as long guns? For example, if I were to buy an AK47, would I need to go to an FFL? I'm not asking if it's a good practice as I already know it is, I'm just curious if it's required. I guess I don't know what, if any, line there is between a rifle/shotgun and an "assault rifle".

    Thanks

Excellent question, with a non-trivial answer, I think. This is not exactly current:

...so take with a grain of salt, but barrel length and overall length enter the equation (unless ,as is likely, I'm misreading this).

evil black rifles are long guns unless they're NFA guns.

I *just* got through reading another thread where this was covered. Sorry for repeating the question. Thanks for the responses already.

I have a Hi-point 9mm carbine my friend in Jersey wants to buy. Do we have to go through a dealer in Jersey? Is so, do I just go with him to Jersey and take care of it? Do they do a background check? He also might want a shotgun I have. Appreciate your help!

Wow, I just read up on Jersey's gun laws and from what I'm reading, it's not that simple. I heard NJ gun laws were messed up but wtf? I'm staying away from Jersey period.

I'm new to the site, as well as PA. I've been looking since yesterday morning, & don't see exactly what I'm looking for. I'm sure it's right under my nose, so I'll apologize in advance, but, where does the likes of a gsg-5 pistol fall into this. I'm looking for f2f, or shipped transaction between 2 PA residents. Would the gsg-5 be considered a handgun, & require an ffl?

    Now for the really stupid question.....What's a c & r?????

    Thanks,
    Joe
