Playing Devils Advocate I typically try and avoid places where I am disarmed and no armed security is there to provide protection.

I look at it this way- If I have to be disarmed then there is an obligation for the Gov't to provide that protection

Let me guess teachers will get paid to protest.

But... but... no, you have to be wrong. It's the job of the police to protect us.

I don't see what right students have to complain, they're the ones doing all of the school shootings.

The OP mentioned that there was no specification for what action they demanded. I'm just saying that in one regard I can sympathize. If the schools are gun free zones then the Gov't should provide armed guards, OR they can repeal the gun free zoning law.

Either of these actions would be acceptable to me if I were a parent, comply with the protest, and blow their minds all in one slam dunk.

And somehow the lost school days will count as educational and not be required to be made up.

It all sounds about right to me.

Wonder what the kids would say when they are shown that our government,(FBI), didn't do their job when Russia warned them regarding the Boston bombers, or Air Force didn't follow protocol with the Texas church shootings. Not to mention: Sandy Hook mother knowing her son had a pre-occupation with killing kids and yet brought an AR in the house and took him to the range for practice, Columbine school shooting where the police waited outside until they grouped, giving the shooter more time to kill, and the rest where somebody dropped the ball.

Now for the Christians. Schumer quoted the bible, the very bible that he swore to preserver the Constitution and yet was silent when obama trashed it.
I don't see the difference committing perjury in court or being sworn in, with the same bible, He skipped the part were Jesus said what enters a person does not defile him. Evil comes from the heart and NO LAWS can stop it.

From what I have been hearing, the students aren’t interested in arming and hardening the school, they want more gun control. Most of them are already brainwashed.

Ironically, like Radar said, they are the ones doing the shooting. Especially in urban areas. Maybe not in schools, but on the streets.
