    After researching what others have mentioned I agree that the Smith Shield 380 EZ looks like it was custom made for her. I know the OP asked for opinions between two 9s but this 380EZ deserves their consideration.

    Thanks for all the input all, I think the LC9s or the EC9s will be her next carry gun. Now to decide what to do with the LC 9, It may end up on here in the for sale section.

    I have arthritis and did a ton of research into an easy-racking, easy to shoot pistol in a larger caliber. My Smith 4006 (40S&W) is the easiest gun ever to rack and all of the controls are easy to operate with arthritis. The metal frame tames recoil a lot and it looks better than aa piece of black plastic. Look for the smaller 9mm version, the 5906. That is probably a dream to shoot.

    Another easy one to rack and shoot is a Bersa Thunder 380. Hardly any recoil and can be pocket carried (in men's jeans).

    I put Bersa rubber grips on it and it's so comfortable to hold and shoot. And again, it looks better.
