Buses, motorcycles, and all law enforcement and emergency vehicles are allowed to use the lanes regardless of the number of occupants.

Roadrage is most often caused by someone being inconsiderate of others - when just a little courtesy can avoid it - I wonder what precipitated this event??

I hope for her sake that she will be cleared of all charges. Investigations came take quite a bit of time. The shoot sounds good to me. If she was attacked over a traffic violation, then the guy was a fool and he punched his own ticket.

I saw a news story headline already "Bike shoots unarmed man dead on WA highway" Quick blurb in story talked about road rage and biker shooting man.
Google search led me to more stories and how they both pulled over, argued and 60 yr old man began striking biker..
further stories finally reveal female sport bike rider assaulted and defended herself, no charges filed

Why are motorcycles allowed in some HOV lanes?
Motorcycles are permitted by federal law to use HOV lanes, even with only one passenger. The rationale behind allowing motorcycles to use HOV lanes is that it is safer to keep two-wheeled vehicles moving than to have them travel in start-and-stop traffic conditions. States can choose to override this provision of federal law, if they determine that safety is at risk.

And if you do some searching; mostly for AMA news articles; not a single state, city, or other entity has been able to prove that it's unsafe for a motorcycle to use their HOV lanes.
If I recall correctly; NYC is the only entity that has tried by giving out tickets to motorcycles using their HOV lane. And NYC has lost the trial every single time.

He was using his fists for weapons, so no, he wasn't "unarmed" or a victim.

If this story is how it sounds, good for her for defending herself justifiably.
