The media has already turned this into something that it is not. This is no longer about protecting our kids. This is about civilian disarmament and parading kids in front of TV cameras. Fuck them all (those for civilian disarmament).

    2) No sales of semi-automatic guns to those under 25 unless they are military or police
    Their side:
    1) allow armed and trained former military and police to guard school buildings
    2) allow trained teachers with smart guns to protect in school buildings
    3) universal concealed carry/buyers permit with training and background check
    no.

Well, to be fair, liberals love their kids just as much as conservatives... so, I’d say it’s both.

Two or three of the posters in this thread are examples of the hipper educated children. They have been brain washed to the point that they either are ready to lie down and roll over worse yet see some good in gun control.

Those of us who have been fighting the anti-gun crowd our whole life just can not accept their attitude. Sorry but if you are scared or just don't care enough to fight please shut up and get the hell out of the way of those who will. A battle may be lost but surrender makes the loss a sure thing.

Ok I will shut up as the defeatist attitude of some just really pisses me off. If we had all had their attitude in the 60s 70s and up until now our rights would have been gone years ago. For the love of God gird your loins and go fight the battle not set at home and snivel.

It's always going to be a bare knuckle brawl with those that want to subdue the citizens with socialism. Some just aren't prepared or have the will to fight and that's just the way humans are. It's always been up to the few to fight for the many.

Thank you Jennifer as usual you are much more insightful than I am. As usual I must pass the rep. around before giving you credit.

At my time of life any new B.S. shoved through by the liberals will not effect the wife and I. If we wanted it we have it and have for so long that there is no accountability these many years down the road. My interest in the fight is for our liberty and country, because I feel that if we lose the 2nd. all of the rest of the Bill of Rights are gone.

Some need more time to become prepared....

Given the new gun control outfits - Bloomberg's Astroturf Everytown and the the Steyn Family's "responsible solution" parade of shills we need every hand on deck. Come early, come late but don't miss the party.

Edit - the reform package and wall are silly. Rich people want cheap labor that doesn't sue for discrimination, doesn't form unions, doesn't ask for benefits, and shows up for work. The immigration crap is a puppet show.

The gun control lobby is hoping to "push the debate towards a moderate point of view" - do you want more gun control now or do you want more gun control later?

All of this rage over less than 100 kids - 17 at Parkland, 20 at Newtown, and a few other bigger school shootings, is a kind of "Color Revolution". We saw what Occupy Wall Street did, how much of a farce it is. Most of the color revolutions either fizzled out or went to hell in a hand basket.

Gun control waves are based upon emotion. Emotion doesn't last.

The Republicans are close to losing the Congress. They can't afford to piss off gun owners.

We need to remind some of these people who brought them to the dance. If they're going to vote for gun control, we can primary them out later. I know that some candidates, like Judge Moore and some others, were done dirty. The key to winning is persistence over time.

We are foul weather friends. We come out to do right by those who do right by us.

The gun control lobby only loves you as long as the ink is wet on the new law. Afterwards they go home with a happy buzz, and next year don't remember their friends.
