There is NO accurate numbers on how many folks own guns, and there will never be. The only way to accurate numbers is to poll 100% of the population, and for 100% of that population to give an honest answer.

The PSP also logs the number of handguns and long guns transferred via FFL's across the state.

Yes and no. Yes, because this most recent shooting got me thinking about how that particular school took "active shooter" drills very seriously, and how that, alone, probably helped to save many many lives. But, no, because I don't think it's for the reason you're thinking. Haha

If you would like to have a firearm safety training and orientation session to learn about the topic, I or possibly one of the other members will be happy to facilitate a session.

I'm fairly new to the area, but if I had to make a guess, I'd bet probably at least 75% of households have at least one. Out the 20 (or so) people that I have gotten to know here, 19 of them have at LEAST one gun. Some have enough to take on a zombie apocalypse! Haha
