I wear Perry-type suspenders most of the time, when I can wear a cover garment (light shirt or sweatshirt). I'm thinking about trying out the Vtac suspenders that hook on each side instead of the front/back.

I love the Perry ones.. been thinking about their shoulder holster too..

the reverse J clip design does not come loose from the belt.. I have had WAY too many clip style pop loose or even break (grumble grumble)

I need to order some Perry Button Suspenders for my hunting field pants

I have been wearing suspenders for the last 20 years or so, and moved to Perrys in the last two or three years. The old clip on ones were tearing up my clothes and since I always had a belt on for other reasons, the belt clip style seemed like a good idea. One problem is if you are not careful in the john the back clip will slide off and the loose end can take a dunk in water not intended for dunking.

I have on rare occasion worn them under a shirt and over a tee shirt as otherwise you need to tuck your shirt in. I mostly pocket carry so the suspenders have not been an issue, but the normal tucked shirt does not allow the shirt over IWB look that is desirable. You will have to experiment to see what works for you.

The Hip-Clip suspenders from Holdup Suspenders are convenient when one has to drop ones trousers. Unclip the suspenders and the suspenders stay in easy reach to re-attach. And, you don't need to remove your cover garment, if one is worn.

I don't wear suspenders to keep my pants up - the belt I hang my gun from keeps my pants up just fine.

I wear suspenders to keep my *belt* up...
