Since it already shows "wear marks" from the safety and slide release, it is no longer "100%" in a collectors eyes...all the more reason to fire it.

I would either shoot it or sell it. And if I decided to shoot it I would use it like any of my other guns and stop worrying about the value.

It’s made it this long without being fired. I’d be moving that fucker and calling it a day. If I own it I shoot it. I’d turn that into a 50

if money isn't so much of an issue, shoot it, the people selling it after you die won't be getting the value for it's condition anyway.
if money is an issue, sell it for the top dollar you can get, not like you're in a hurry or it'd be done already. buy whatever you want after or several things.

i've got a $600 bottle of champagne that is most likely bad now because it wasn't stored well and was never drank and i inherited it and can't think of a reason "special" to drink it and won't sell it because i know it wasn't handled properly.
one random day i'll remember to just chill it and see if it was actually good or not...
There is no way to make it out alive...

if I had the handgun I'd sell it off, pay down debt. I'd sell the champagne but I don't wanna screw anyone over. yeah maybe I could sell it for 1/4 price condition unknown....
if he wants to shoot my expensive bottle with his expensive gun $150 + shipping. lol

PS. '96 Dom Pérignon. last I saw they were selling about $600

I wouldn't buy anything that I wasn't going to shoot.
