I'd use her like a summer fling and dump her in the fall.
What are saving it for, the next guy?

Took another look at the photo, and noticed a pretty heavy scratch from the safety lever detent, indicating it's had its share of handling. Not what one would expect from something having been kept in a box. Maybe US Customs did it when it was declared?

No I would not, the P210-6 is the last one of the German-Swiss made. Either keep it pristine or sell it for a lot of cash. Dave_n

One thing going for keeping a gun unfired.... Like the sun will come up tomorrow, one can be confident that loading it and pulling the trigger will cause it to go boom just like the ones you do shoot. Kinda helps rationalizing the situation.

If you never shot it, you will always wonder, until your dying day: "How did that expensive pistol feel when fired? Was it accurate? Was it worth the money I paid for it?" Run a mag thru it and experience the joy. Unless of course, you only bought it for an investment in the first place. If so, then sell it now before you pass away. Get some satisfaction from your investment.

Shoot it and enjoy it. Life is too short!

All you are doing is saving the inevitable joy for someone else who you don't know.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

I walk the walk. I bought a NIB Colt Diamondback years ago and the dealer asked if I was going to put it away unfired. I smiled and said hell no, I'm shooting it within an hour of leaving here! He looked stunned.

I still enjoy shooting it to this day without guilt.

Either sell it and make some money for something you will enjoy, or shoot it and enjoy it.

You guys sound like the demons sitting on my shoulder, one says, "WTF, go for it", and the other says, "Do you know what that will do to the value?" I'm getting old, been cheap all my life and can afford to eat whatever I want, investment's not a big issue now...but it was when I bought it. I have forgotten how to disassemble it, which I have done for oiling a couple of times but IIRC it involves swinging that safety into a position and pulling it out, or something,
I'll have to read the book (again). I have thought about selling it, buying a used one and having at it. I'm still on the fence, thanks for the input.
