Re: GLOCK 19 GEN 4, CONNECTOR 3.5 ?
Since I have to have the NY1 trigger for work, I am used to it and have it in my other Glocks. There is a big difference between the NY1 and the 3.5# I personally wouldn’t go below the 5# myself, especially for SD carry.
The installation is easy, but I also took an Armorers course a long time ago. I am sure there are videos on YouTube that show it.

Re: GLOCK 19 GEN 4, CONNECTOR 3.5 ?
I have stayed with the stock connector in all my Glocks, but changed the stock trigger springs to ZEV trigger springs.
I have maybe five different connectors, all much ballyhooed, and I could not see consistent improvement in the trigger in any of them. The single biggest, most consistent improvement in Glock triggers was the ZEV trigger spring, polishing the contact surfaces of the connector, and adding a slight dab of grease to the side of the connector. That's it. It removed some of the mushiness, and reduced the pull slightly. The main thing, all my Glocks have triggers that feel nearly the same now, and group size improvements to show for it.

My G19 stock triggers improved gradually over a few thousand rounds and much dry fire.
The biggest improvement came from getting a Walther PPQ M2.

Nothing done to a Glock will simulate a K-22 Masterpiece fired from single action.
That leaves learning the trigger Glock installed, or a conservative form of alteration.
For a self defense carry pistol, I believe remaining at 5 pounds or higher represents an easily overcome and worthwhile safety component.

I have a couple of glocks with the ghost edge 3.5 connector installed and it didn't make a whole lot of difference, maybe a couple of ounces.
The only thing i do to all my glocks is change the trigger shoe since i don't like the shape or feel of the factory shoe and it pinches my finger. that to me made a world of difference.

Oh and if you decide to install the connector, it's a very easy install, lots of you tube videos.
