Trap Shooting Facility w/ Rental near greater Phila area?

Hey all,

Looking for a place to shoot trap with the gf where rental shotguns are available. Neither of us have shotguns worthy of using on the range, so hopefully you can point me in the right direction! The only one I know of on this side of the state is lehigh valley sporting clays... are there any clubs closer to the area that offer the same kind of deal? I had a great experience up there but it was such a long drive... Appreciate the input!

Branch Valley Fish and Game on 563 has a great trap facility. On Wednesdays, it's open to the public. However, they don't rent shotguns. Why not purchase a pair of inexpensive ones from either Quinby's in Dublin or Seneca Arms in Green Lane? Both gun stores have great prices and excellent service.

Haha, in a word, budget cuts!

All joking aside, I've held off picking up a trap gun because I've only gone once, and with this being an election year, discretionary expenditures have been "ban target" variety stuff. Hopefully we don't have to worry about that, but just in case I'm stocking up now. Hopefully I'll have great reason to pick up a nice o/u following my boy john's victory in the fall. Thanks for the advice I'll check it out. Any others?

I thought there was one on the jersey side of the bridge (M&M seems to come to mind)

If you do find a cheap pump... or semi.. .or O/U... come out to Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club on Fridays... open to public... no rentals available sorry

Try ommelanden in DE, right by newcastle. not too far of a drive at all. i used to go all the time. brought my xgf for her first two experiences shooting.
She used their autoloader 20ga, which had very little recoil, and she wound up enjoying herself.
Rentals are free, just require a valid DL. trap is like $3 / 25clays. hard to beat.
