A thread on another forum said that the Browning tooling was just plain worn out. However I suspect a few clone are still being produced. Still 82 years of production is pretty darn good.

I think it will take while since there are no shortages on them on the U.S. or world markets. They are constantly coming into the U.S. as LE trade in's from a number of different t countries in the FN flavor.

Sad days. One of my favorite pistols. True classic. Grab one now while they're still around. I remember when there were pages and pages of them on gunbroker. Not so many now.
